After a three-year stretch in the slammer, Petie—a father, hustler, and gang member—is released back to his hood on the streets of Harlem, determined to seek revenge on his ex-lover, Share. In the three years since he last saw her, Share has not only become quite wealthy, owning a Lexus, four brownstones, and two McDonald’s restaurants, but also has a new man in her life. Petie has also changed. He now has AIDS and is determined to give it to Share as payback for her disloyalty. Among the fights and shootouts, Petie never stops plotting his next move. When all is said and done, he seems to get the last laugh as his racy, carefree, and heartless lifestyle ultimately affects everyone he touches. This novel of deception blurs with reality as it raises awareness for the growing AIDS epidemic affecting urban African Americans.

To be considered for a book review, a book description (think Amazon.com or the back of the book), copy of book cover image (if available), AND excerpt of your book must be sent via email to books@urban-reviews.com.
