Hemphill brings us an interesting story about what can happen when marrying into a powerful and devious family. This is a quick read but you still get a full story with rich characters. Readers will also get a shocking twist that you won’t see coming. Thicker Than Water is a good debut book by Gregory Lamont Hemphill.
