Patricia “Peaches” Miller is a single mother trying to live her life according to God’s word. Peaches is dating Quinn, whom is handsome, charismatic and has a great job. Quinn is not only in love with her, but he also absolutely adores her son as well. Peaches could not have asked God for a better male role model in her son’s life. When Quinn proposes to Peaches, she is ecstatic, along with her mom and her best friends. Soon after the proposal, Quinn is offered a better paying position within his company, but the problem is that he will have to relocate. Will Peaches be willing to follow Quinn?

Raphael is the one and only man that Peaches has ever been intimate with, and he is the father of her only child. He's the same man that ripped her heart out and stomped all over it when he found out that she was carrying his child. Raphael is the type of daddy who gets his child whenever it suits him, who's always late on child support payments, and who makes promises he does not keep. With a new woman in his life, Raphael seems to have a new attitude. He begins to step up to the plate more, making Peaches leary of his sudden change...especially when Raphael takes a sudden interest in her upcoming nuptials.

Last Temptation by Michelle Stimpson was an excellent read. It is a story of temptation, love, lust, anger, and betrayal. A lesson to be learned from reading this is that Jesus will fight harder for you, even when you are not in fight mode for yourself. It also shows how Jesus is the definition of love. “Patient, kind…keeps no records of wrongs…always trusts, always hopes.” Ms. Stimpson writes a fictional novel that is inspirational and full of hope. I highly recommend Last Temptation!

New Review : In the Face of the Sun : Denny S. Bryce

5 out of 5 books I fell in love with Denny S. Bryce’s writing with her first book, Wild Women and the Blues. I absolutely love historical fiction, so I was eager to read In the Face of the Sun. Ba-byyyy, it did not disappoint! In the Face of the Sun is a dual timeline novel, switching between Los Angeles (Daisy - 1928) and Chicago (Frankie - 1968). Daisy's had a hard life, and it shows, as her personality completely changes between the timelines. Back in 1928, she was a hardworking, honest person that cared about her family and friends. In 1968, she’s drinking, smoking, and doing the absolute most, a complete opposite of sweet innocent Daisy. Frankie’s life isn’t peaches and cream, she’s pregnant and escaping her abusive husband. Her and her aunt Daisy pick up and head for L.A., for the adventure of a lifetime. You’ve got to read this book, I couldn’t put it down. I loved that there are history lessons interwoven in the pages, you’re reading and also learning at the same time. De...
