Samaria Jacobs wanted financial security, but she wanted it at the expense of someone else. When Samaria met a successful surgeon named Dr. Gregory Preston, she knew all of her plans had came true. There was just one small glitch...Dr. Preston was already spoken for by his wife, Angelina Preston. In order to make sure her plan worked, she had to find out more about Gregory's wife. So, she does something that is completely unheard of...she tries to become Angelina's friend. When Samaria realized that she had taken things way too far, it was too late. She was starting to care about the woman she wanted to become someday. Will Samaria be able to go ahead with her plan, or will her conscience get the best of her?

The beginning of An Inconvenient Friend was a little predictable. But the more I read on, the more the story took a different direction. There are some very unique surprises in some of the chapters that will leave your mouth wide open. I enjoyed how author Rhonda McKnight gave detail into Samaria's past, how she needed to have the best things in life, and the pain, anger, and frustration that Angelina would ultimately have to deal with. The only thing I was not happy with was how the book ended since it seemed like it just abruptly stopped. With that, I assume there's going to be a follow-up to An Inconvenient Friend.
